The Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates voted to approve the Final Draft 2008 Regional Policy Plan (dated October 30, 2008) on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. The October 30th plan will become effective 30 days following adoption and recording at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds. The Cape Cod Commission anticipates recording the ordinance in mid January 2009. Until the new plan is recorded, the 2002 Regional Policy Plan remains in effect.
